Tunnelweb Spider easy keep full set

This full set has been tested over a long period and is a very easy way to keep a tunnelweb spider.

The set includes:

1 spider (shipping will on buyer's risk, 95% arrived live)

1 enclosure with a ventilated lid (10 x 10 x 15 cm)

1 pack of mixed substrate (300 g)

1 small artificial branch (may vary slightly each time)

1 blackout board

Some mealworms

How to set it up:

Check that you have received everything shown in Photo 1.

Pour all the substrate into the enclosure (Photo 2).

Gently press the substrate down with your hand — don't press too hard (Photo 3).

Place the small branch in, ideally near the entrance of the burrow you plan to choose (Photo 4).

Use a pencil to make a hole about 2–3 cm deep (Photo 5). Photo 6 shows roughly how it should look.

Put the blackout board on (Photo 7).

Then place the spider inside, put the lid on, and leave it in a dark place for about 1–2 hours. The spider will move into the hole you made and start building its web.

After about 1–2 days you should see a funnel-shaped web. At this point you can try feeding it mealworms.

Keeping it moist: Please keep the enclosure moist. If you notice the substrate starting to dry out, you can slowly add a little water to the front side of the enclosure — the side without the spider. You don't need to add much.
