huberia is medium size of ant, it will be bigger than garden ant

Ant: The fly season should be from Oct to March. those should be last lots of queen this year. huberia is not easy to rise from single queen, because they are super mutil queen species. which mean they do lots lots of queen in one colony, and most new colony is from some queen take part of old colony to become new one. so rise from single queen is not easy, please understand you can do it before buy. if rise to colony, Huberia Striata is a easy to care species of ant which are perfect for a beginner. Colonies can have multiple queens present and can grow to number in the 1000s. They grow at relatively fast rate making them exciting compared some ant species. Chelaner Antarcticus is commonly mistaken for Huberia Striata the easiest way to identify them is by the black dot on their head as in the photos and the very orange colour compared to that of c. Antarcticus. but huberia is much bigger, Workers average 5mm and queens that of 10mm. Queens are very bright red/orange colored with a black abdomen.
