Watch the Magic of Digging: The farm is filled with fine white sand (digging area size: 60 x 80 x 8 mm), specially prepared for ants to excavate their own tunnels. Its a captivating view into the hidden world of your colony.

Perfect for Small Species: This farm is ideally suited for smaller ant species. I dont recommend it for Dracula ants.

Stable, Self-Maintaining Humidity: The D1 farm is engineered to maintain a stable, optimal moisture level within the sand. The sand stays damp enough for tunnel stability but not so wet that it endangers your ants.

Why humidity matters: If the sand is too dry, tunnels will collapse. If its too wet, ants can drown. This farm solves that problem

Low Maintenance Care: Simply keep the integrated water tube filled. This passive hydration system does the rest, keeping the sand at the perfect consistency with minimal effort.

Viewing Covers for Easy Observation: Includes two red covers. Place these over the nest to simulate darkness, which encourages your ants to dig and live against the glass sides, giving you a perfect view of their activity. Without the covers, they will likely dig in the center, out of sight.

Quick Start Guide - How to Set Up

1. Prepare the Sand: Do not remove the cotton plug or connect anything yet, or sand will spill. First, fill the water tube and wait 8-12 hours. This allows the sand to absorb moisture, becoming solid and ready for digging.

2. Connect: Once the sand is moist and firm, carefully remove the cotton plug and connect the D1 Farm Nest to your chosen living area or another farm.

3. Ongoing Care: Ensure the water tube is always kept full.

4. Be Patient: It may take your ants 2-7 days to begin exploring and digging into the new space. They will gradually expand their tunnels before moving the whole colony in.
